Parental Notes: Notes are required to excuse a student from
participation in P.E. The note should
include a reason for non-participation, length of time (3 Days Max), signature
from parent/guardian, and phone number. After 3 days, or for more serious
injury/condition, a doctor’s note is required. The excused student will be provided an
alternate assignment that he or she will be required to complete during class
for participation credit. These assignments will be kept in the students P.E.
folder.
Hygiene: Showers are available and students are encouraged to use them for good personal hygiene. Adequate time will be allotted for dressing in and out. Students must use the dressing time for bathroom breaks. Bathroom breaks are not allowed during class except in case of an emergency. NO BODY SPRAYS, PERFUMES, SCENTED LOTIONS/CREAMS OTHER THAN SUNSCREEN, OR ANY TYPE OF GLASS CONTAINERS ARE ALLOWED! Unscented lotions are acceptable.
Lockers: For students who want a locker for their own use, a locker and lock will be issued for a $5.00 rental fee. No personal locks are permitted. If a student chooses not to rent a lock and locker, then they are responsible for bringing their P.E. clothes to class each day. Students are responsible for the security of their own belongings in the locker room. WBMS WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS. PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO KEEP VALUABLE ITEMS AT HOME!! Students must keep all belongings in the locker with the lock LOCKED at all times. Students are not allowed to take the lock home. If the lock is lost or stolen, the student will have to pay a $5.00 replacement fee. Locker combinations are not to be shared with other students not using the locker for physical education. A master list of all locker assignments and lock combinations will be maintained by the P.E. Department.
Safety: Students must be safety conscious and consider their actions in relation to those around them to prevent injuries. Students must report any injuries immediately to a P.E. staff member. Jewelry may be worn for medical purposes only. Any other jewelry (this includes wrist bands and sweat bands) must be removed. Students are required to keep a small container for jewelry.

* Students are required to enter the locker room in an orderly manner and read the dry erase board for announcements and instructions.
* Change clothes quickly while respecting the space of other students. Use the rest of the time for the restroom break. When finished dressing out, students are to sit down in the middle of the locker room.
*When an adult enters the multipurpose room, blows the whistle, or begins speaking, students are to STOP whatever they are doing immediately, LOOK in the direction of the teacher, and LISTEN for the teacher’s instructions.
